Cowgill Inc. is a family-owned company and no matter how large we get, we want to keep that family as close as possible. So to stay true to our roots, we take some time to gather our employees for a luncheon and awards ceremony at the end of each year. After holding this ceremony virtually in 2020, we were finally able to gather as one big family this year.
The awards luncheon gives us an opportunity to celebrate all of our hard work, enjoy each other’s company, and recognize the individuals and communities that went above and beyond throughout the year.
We are grateful for all of our employees and the hard work and dedication they show throughout each year. We couldn’t ask for a better team here at Cowgill.
Without further ado, here are the 2021 Cowgill Inc. awards winners!
Newcomer of The Year – Kimberle Mullins
Kimberle joined the company last year, worked out of a trailer using an iPad, and donned a hardhat for her first 3 to 4 months. Kimberle showed great resiliency and calmness in dealing with construction timelines and apartment availability. She zigged when we asked her to zig and zagged when we asked her to zag. She has led a team that has leased up short-term furnished, long-term unfurnished, long-term furnished, short-term unfurnished furnished, and long-term furnished unfurnished apartments. Congratulations to Kimberle!
Community of the Year – The Flats at 345 (Managed by Karin DeSantis and maintained by Brian Angle)
The Flats at 345 is always in tip-top shape and we constantly receive compliments from owners and visitors. Parents have expressed to us how much they love the staff and how comfortable they are with their children living there. The Flats at 345 exemplifies everything we want in a Cowgill community. Congratulations to Karin and Brian!
Employee of the year – Jesse Vazquez
The employee of the year award goes to the person who exemplifies the ideal characteristics any company would want to represent it. Jesse does everything that is expected of him – he is always early for work, he’s a team player in that he likes to mentor and teach other employees, and is willing to help other communities. He always makes a point to greet all residents by their name when he sees them. Jesse has a passion for what he does and always wants things done right. Congratulations to Jesse!
In November, the Cowgill team attended the GLAA Crowne Excellence awards and had 2 employees win their respective categories. Congratulations to Angela Hurst and Kamron Snell for bringing home the hardware!
