"I hope you will find this site informative and helpful. I also hope you will find it easy and enjoyable to use. This site doesn't have fancy graphics, moving images or things of that nature. But it does provide serious information that may help you make serious decisions. If I have achieved my goals for this site, it meets the same standards I try to meet in every document I produce: solid content and good writing, presented in a simple and direct way that lets the information shine through." |
Welcome to cowgill.com
My assistants and I have worked hard to make this site a worthwhile destination for those who seek information about legal ethics, attorney disciplinary proceedings and the law governing lawyers. In particular, this site includes: ► A Quick-Reference Library for Kentucky Legal Ethics Research, which is designed to be the quickest and easiest place to find rules, regulations, advisory opinions and practical information about legal ethics and attorney discipline in the Commonwealth; and ► The Legal Ethics Search Engine, a one-of-a-kind tool that allows you to search over 10,000 pages of information and commentary about legal ethics and the law governing lawyers, all from a single search page. We have also taken pains to make this site easy to use. In particular: ► You can get anywhere on this site by starting with one of the links that appear at the top of each and every page. ► You can also use the "link path" in the upper left corner of any page to return to a higher level of the site's information architecture. ► If you are using Internet Explorer as your web browser, you can easily bookmark any page of the Legal Ethics Library by clicking on "Bookmark this page in Internet Explorer." (Mozilla Firefox does not support bookmark triggers on web pages.) ► Every page of this site is formatted to print directly to 8½ x 11 paper. (In website design, as in other matters, a simple and straightforward approach usually proves to be the most practical.) I hope you will find this site interesting and helpful. As the
Shakers used to say so eloquently, it is my wish – and
my commitment – to make you kindly
welcome.
